Welcome MARCH! I
LOVE this month. We have finally reached the first quarter of the year.
Have you reached any of your goals yet? I'm getting there. Massive
changes are happening and looking forward into the unknown is very scary
& empowering. Everyone should face some sort of adventure at least
once in their lives. What adventure do you crave? What's holding you
back?
It could be simple and you're making it complicated. I'll give you
some advice my mom gave me. "Be Selfish"! It might seem like a small
truism but digest the concept. Open your mind to the universe and allow
yourself success. It's never too late to stand up for yourself and make a
change! Listen to that music that makes you feel powerful or watch
Enough, with Jenny from the block, and walk with confidence. Too often
we allow others to put us on their paths to success, don't allow your
dreams to diminish for someone else to prosper. Recently I took a look in the mirror and decided that I wanted more. Not just money but experience and interaction, I crave living.
This past year has been a massive lesson. I am learning how to walk away from my current plight to create my own opportunities. It's important to make goals and the necessary changes to reach them. I began to read old journals and random logs that I have aimlessly placed amongst my things over the last year and where I wanted to be isn't where my path was taking me. Somewhere along this journey I lost my way, and that's not a bad thing. We can all learn some things about ourselves and others when we take these detours in life. There have been times that I think the timing has been off or that I spent too much time thinking or working towards the wrong thing and thinking that way is what kept me on that detour. I am exactly where and when I should be. Trust that the universe is going to give back. Now, make sure you are putting in the work and dedication. Goal reaching requires commitment and tenacity, attack these goals. It's liberating, this act of seizing my potential. Each day I wake up the purpose of my day means more because I am serving my own dream. This be selfish mantra is one that you have to work at and be serious about. Put post-it notes on mirrors, in your planner, in the car, at work on your desk and on the cabinets in the kitchen.
So I challenge you to wake up with purpose and develop a tight grip on your dream- make it happen. You have one go at life and you need to make this one great. This can all sound cliche or it can be motivational. Choose your perception and take charge. If you're wondering why I chose that picture it is because that's the look of "epiphany". Moments after I decided a shift in my universe is necessary, #kcco !
xo, Britt
