My FAVES so far..

Hello loves!
I hope everyone has had a great March and is ready for April! I thought about posting a joke and then realized I'm horrible pranks so decided to keep it real.
I have come up with some sources to those awesome new twists to these classic 70's styles. There's nothing I love more than a bold print and a wide leg; the 70's revival is in full effect! Here are some great styles that will have you stylin' anywhere you go and wont make a crucial ding in that spring budget!

The Palazzo Pant has been emerging for the last few years but were semi-difficult to come buy. The hunt is over! This pant trend has caught on and you can now find this style in almost any of the stores you visit online or locally. Check these pants out at Target!
One of my absolute favorite pieces has never gone out of style, the Jumper. I have a cute flutter sleeve and flirty print plays on the harmonious black and white that has taken over the Spring's typical take on  bright and floral prints.

Jean Jackets have to be in each and every closet, men and women benefit to this essential. Whether you want to dress down a flirty dress or your destination is a music festival, a jean jacket is the perfect layer.

Platform sandals  are a 70's staple and any closet lacking basket weave platform sandals will be lusting after this hot new take on a classic! Don't be the last to find out that this shoe is the most versatile this season. You can pair this shoe with most, if not all, of the trends this spring!

catching up..

Hello beauties!
It's my favorite day of the week! Thursdays are amazing, no matter what my schedule has been. I like to refer to this awesome day as "THORSDay" because who doesn't love Thor! Any how, I am excited to announce that I have found a new place to hang my license and book my clients! I am now located in the beautiful town of Chandler, which has been welcoming and just oozes with fresher air! I get to see tractors and goats on the way to work which just reminds me of when I was really young in TN. It's ironic how little things make you happy and feel homey.
Ok so down to business. How has your March been friends? I hope all is well with you. I haven't been posting as much as I would like but this is a crazy transitional time for me. I barely have enough focus at the end of the day to go through my emails, YIKES! I'm now DEDICATING one day of my week to blogging and keeping you guys up to date on new trends and fun things to do in your free time whether it involves a fun DIY or an exciting date idea. As it warms up, so do our topics!
Now that we are transitioning from winter into spring, even though it's starting to feel like summer in AZ, it's the perfect time for a fashion inspired blog. We will be talking the COMEBACK of the beloved 70's and it's fabulous trends as well as the colors of the moment. I also received my IPSY bag and will share that with you guys next week, that'll give me enough time to experiment with all of my goodies.

Welcome MARCH! I LOVE this month. We have finally reached the first quarter of the year. Have you reached any of your goals yet? I'm getting there. Massive changes are happening and looking forward into the unknown is very scary & empowering.  Everyone should face some sort of adventure at least once in their lives. What adventure do you crave? What's holding you back?
It could be simple and you're making it complicated. I'll give you some advice my mom gave me. "Be Selfish"! It might seem like a small truism but digest the concept. Open your mind to the universe and allow yourself success. It's never too late to stand up for yourself and make a change! Listen to that music that makes you feel powerful or watch Enough, with Jenny from the block, and walk with confidence. Too often we allow others to put us on their paths to success, don't allow your dreams to diminish for someone else to prosper. Recently I took a look in the mirror and decided that I wanted more. Not just money but experience and interaction, I crave living.
This past year has been a massive lesson. I am learning how to walk away from my current plight to create my own opportunities. It's important to make goals and the necessary changes to reach them. I began to read old journals and random logs that I have aimlessly placed amongst my things over the last year and where I wanted to be isn't where my path was taking me. Somewhere along this journey I lost my way, and that's not a bad thing. We can all learn some things about ourselves and others when we take these detours in life. There have been times that I think the timing has been off or that I spent too much time thinking or working towards the wrong thing and thinking that way is what kept me on that detour. I am exactly where and when I should be. Trust that the universe is going to give back. Now, make sure you are putting in the work and dedication. Goal reaching requires commitment and tenacity, attack these goals. It's liberating, this act of seizing my potential. Each day I wake up the purpose of my day means more because I am serving my own dream. This be selfish mantra is one that you have to work at and be serious about. Put post-it notes on mirrors, in your planner, in the car, at work on your desk and on the cabinets in the kitchen.
So I challenge you to wake up with purpose and develop a tight grip on your dream- make it happen. You have one go at life and you need to make this one great. This can all sound cliche or it can be motivational. Choose your perception and take charge. If you're wondering why I chose that picture it is because that's the look of "epiphany". Moments after I decided a shift in my universe is necessary, #kcco !

IPSY FEBRUARY!!

This post is all IPSY everything! I am in love with company's concept and what they have done to my life. I look forward to my package each month and the various products that they pick for me based on a quiz they offer for members. This option is perfect for girls who love trends and always want the newest and most talked about products; this is also a great option for girls who have trouble stepping out of the box but would like some adventure in their beauty routines! Are you the lady right in the middle that believes you've found the right balance? I thought so. I've always been the girl with advice on new stuff and I seem to have a knack for discovering great deals, that didn't stop me from joining IPSY. I have made yet another discovery, great products to test and review at a fraction of the cost I would normally spend on cosmetics in a given month! Try it out and see what you like! I'm going to review my February Glam Bag.
The photo above shows all of the goodies shipped to me this month. Not only have I gotten used to this cute patterned make up bag, but I am in AWE of the Mini Lip Gloss from Cargo in the shade Anguilla. This shade brought a great hint of light pink with a nude tone. I have been using this lip gloss everyday with or without makeup. It's build-able, meaning the more layers you apply makes the color begins to appear less shear and you are able to mix it with other lip colors to create a softer effect. Another adorable pink addition to my collection is ModelCo's BLUSH cheek powder in the shade Cosmopolitan,  a ballerina pink! I don't typically go for a bubblegum colored blush, but the formula isn't too heavy. The pigment is rich in this blush so you only need a little to sweep across your cheeks for a nice flushed look. The other shade that is advertised on the IPSY website is Peach Bellini a peachy pink which looks perfect for an everyday look. I also loved the Large Angled Face brush by Luxie! It's 100% animal cruelty free and is so soft! It doesn't steal the product from your face and is also very pink. A not so pink addition would be the eye shadow from Tini Beauty from the Rob Scheppy collection in the shade Pearl Fizz. This shade is PERFECT for highlighting and I don't think I will ever love another beige tone as much as this one. I notice the difference in pictures and in the mirror, I couldn't help but to catch a glimpse of myself each time I caught a shimmer of my own highlight! Not to say that I have left the best for last, but I will say I left one of the most important additions for last. I have tried MANY face masks and I can't say that I have always felt the results promised, this is one reason I decided to try IPSY out! The Hey Honey Take It Off does everything it promises. If in need for an exfoliating mask, try this Hey Honey product out. Easy to use and a great way to help slough off old skin to make way for fresh glowing skin to shine through. I may have gotten carried away GUSHING about this month's bag but it has been gush worthy! I hope everyone had a great February was amazing and I have included all of the links to these awesome products and I'll list some discounts on my website here!

New Year, New You!

Welcome to my den!
Hi, my name is Britt Marie- you can call me Britt.  The mission behind this blog is to create a place where we can grow to our full potential from the inside out and to inspire women to love, uplift, support and befriend each other throughout all of life's obstacles. Sure, we're used to having maybe enough friends to count on one hand, talking TRUE friends ladies, and that's OK - the goal here is to open ourselves to the possibilities of our positive attitudes and what that can do for our networking and personal circles.
With this blog, I will bring you a variety of topics and trends that you can mimic or spruce up to your liking. There will be videos and pictures and I'm a major D.I.Y. addict. No fear, we wont always discuss our psyche, but we will touch base on our little contributions to the communities that give us purpose. Working with people, I tend to take on their energy and at the end of the day where does it go? We all need a release and this is a safe place to come toss ideas or experiences. The best way to get pass something is to deal with it and what's more comforting than a friend with no judgement attached? I'm here to help you and inspire you to be the best version of yourself, all of you.READY?I hope so, comment below and let me know what your thoughts and ideas are for topics and whatever. Take a second, follow me on my networks and lets network! I want to thank you for taking the time to read and hopefully share your time with me.
And before I forget to say it - Happy New Year!
XoXo, Britt
